Afraid I gave up 42DD some time ago, when the dollar dropped, and there was no way to keep the prices competitive with direct import. There are several truly excellent catch cans out there now, all you need for a VW specific one is the adapter plates and manifold tap, for the FSI engines anyway. Nobody I know of has a proper system for the TSI and its more complex twin blowby outlets.

I believe in catch cans that much that I actually have 2 of them in series in my TDI, and my inlet is dry at 50,000kms, just EGR soot, and minimal at that. I still had number 1 cylinder inlet valve stem buildup, which is one of the two main issues of blowby.

CTS have a good one for the 2.0TSI engine. The PCV plate machining is pretty awesome.

That was the one I've been looking at, but can someone explain what the noise pipe delete kit is and why would I want to delete the noise ?

The FSI engine is easy, you can buy just the blanking plates and put whatever catch can you fancy in. The GTI with the TSI needs the "Africa" plate as it is often called, and I don't know of anyone selling it separately. I also know that this plate alone isn't a total solution, as when it was first developed by Forge, they had plans to re-design it, and given the complexity, to my understanding that has not yet happened. I know when I stopped 42DD they were also working on a TSI solution, but again I think no final outcome there either.

Your call, but on a GTI a $25 can of Liquimoly upper intake cleaner from Supercheap every few months would be a real option, especially on the TSI.

USP Motorsports in the USA sell their 'in house' brand called Spulen, and they sell the PCV "Africa" plate on its own, but also sell a full catch can kit for the Mk6 GTI engine: Oil Catchcan Kits | PCV Oil Catchcans Volkswagen Golf/GTI/Rabbit Parts
