Usually most wheels have 2-3mm max that can be taken off.
Usually the length of your wheel bolts will tell you how much “meat” there is.
If you’re running longer bolts than stock then you have half a chance.

Tigger on the money.
I've had it done on a couple of wheels for repairs more so than changing the offset. Ensure your brakes will still clear too
