Looking to buy a used 2010 MK6 GTI with a 100,000ks on it. What should I look out for
Knowing that this is an Euro car, What are the normal faults and problems I should be looking out for when buying a used GTI. Also it would be great help if you guys can let know know what the servicing costs are, other things you needed to fix, what parts you needed to replace, so I have a good idea for the future.
Thank you all for the help <3

Hey congrats on making a great choice.
As its a used one I would recommend, taking it to a local Euro specialist and getting it checked thoroughly. Main issue would be the DSG and make sure the owner had done the major service @60k which includes DSG service. Rest the VWs are pretty solid built in terms of Engine and Chassis. If the car is with 18" Detroit wheels, check for the buckle. With low profile tyres its really easy to screw up the alloys.
A specialist would be the best person to assess the car.
Do you mind me asking, how much are you buying it for?
Thanks

That is pretty high km's in 4 years. Has it done a lot of easy highway km's?

Is this the 6 speed DSG and are there so many issues with these 6 speed DSG's as the 7 speed DSG in the later models?
How do these DSG's age with lots of K's on them? cheers Al
