+1. Add the new Audi Q7 to the list too, saw one on the road late yesterday.. even though Audi started the trend and do it best (IMO), the Q7 must have had a bad batch of designers come through as these look ugly IMO!

i saw a mk6 gti recently with the a non-standard strip of LEDs (perhaps retrofitted the R LED's?) they were a little blueish which looked a bit wrong with his halogen lights.

the OEM LEDS match the xenon colour temp nicely. in fact, when i take photos of them, they look yellowish, but in reality they are very white.

You just might need to change your white balance on your camera and/or during post-processing

    regarding the DRLs

We actually sell them at work (autobarn narrewarren in vic) theyre not exactly the same but have a look here

    Designed for safety

The website pretty cool u can upload a pic of ur car and put the DRLs onto it.

The only issues we have had with the philips ones although they are VERY good and are used by alot of different car companies, its seems that because they turn on & off by a sensor, sometimes they may flicker when a door is opened (interior light) because htye sense a voltage change (im not very technical) lol.

    thanks!

"In Australia these can only be installed as a factory option and cannot be legally retro-fitted due to the laws around Xenon lights requiring additional sensors (tilt sensors, front and rear), the Xenon motor to swivle it up and down, and the headlight washing system"

Does this mean that the LED DRL's cannot be retro-fitted to xenons? Is it possible to (cost-effectively) upgrade the previous xenons to add the LEDs?

There would be no legal reason I can foresee as to why you couldn't swap an existing pair of OEM Bi-Xenon headlights with OEM LED DRL equipped Bi-Xenon headlights.

The main questions I'd have is around electrical wiring and VCDS changes...

You'd want to be pretty keen though, I'm sure it wouldn't be cheap to do.
