    Fiscon/Kufatec/Skoda Bluetooth for mk6 GTI?

Has anyone had any experience getting this installed? In Melbourne perhaps? From the forums, apparently No Limits does it... but they cant do the VAGCOM?? Anywhere else in Melb?

The VW Basic Bluetooth is pretty expensive for the basic thing it does...

I'm considering the Skoda BT solution, but my car doesn't arrive for months.

Let me know how you go...

I got the Kufatec Fiscon Basic unit installed in my MK6 103TDI (stock head unit) from Freeway Car Audio in Dandenong.. my uncle put me on to them so I got a good deal.

Works a treat using the MFD and integrates the steering wheel controls.. Syncs with my iPhone 3GS just fine..

What did you pay for the unit and install?

    Thanks.

Do you know if there are any problems streaming via bluetooth lossless sized files or are you using the MDI for that? (Your not using the RCD510?)

So works fine with MFD means caller ID and song titles?

Do you know if you have 2 phones synced how easier it is to select and change?

I can't comment on the RCD510 as you need a Basic Plus and it works through the RCD510 rather than the MFD for this model from what I understand..

A2DP sounds like crap in comparison to the Aux plug - i don't have MDI.

Caller ID - no, song titles - no.. those items cannot be displayed on MFD from what I understand.. Might want to chat to Freeway Car Audio (dandenong) and check if they've done a GTI yet and what the deal is.. I suspect it's a whole different kettle of fish.. sorry, my bad for butting in about the 103TDI.

    Hi all,
I didn't want to new thread about the Fiscon / Kufatec bluethooh systems within the Skoda forum, since I understand that the Skoda Bolero sound system is basically a repackaged RCD510 system. So I'd appreciate some assistance from VW users-
    My questions are:

    1) My Skoda RS sedan (with multi function steering wheel) will be arriving in 3-4 weeks, and I wanted to install a fiscon bluetooth system and integrate it with the Bolero + MFD. Reading about the various features on Kufatec's website, I'm still confused about whether I need a 'Basic' or 'Plus' model. I realise that the Plus is meant for Columbus (equivalent to RNS510), since it integrates with the Navi system. But does the 'Basic' provide all the other features i.e. display of phone list etc on the Bolero (or RCD510) screen, integration with the the 'phone' button on the system?, integration with the MFD and steering controls?
    2) Is it better to get this system installed via the Dealer or via specialist independent installers? The price I believe will always be higher at the dealer....or at least for my dealer, since he is going to make use of a outside company anyway (so he will basically act as the middle man making his extra commission). So my question is, if there are warranty issues or installation troubles (I worried with how much panneling has to be removed to install the mic) - will the dealer be responsible for installation of this system, and hence its advantagious to go through him?
    3) For people who have installed the 'Basic' or 'Plus' system, can you please provide a ball-park estimate? or can I PM anyone if they don't want to disclose the pricing?

Thanks Chopsticle for disclosing the price you got, but as this was a mates-rate, can anyone else tell me what they paid?
    Thanks in advance.
