How to track the car you have ordered?

Well I'm somewhere in between this thread and the 'I have received' thread. Dropped into dealer this afternoon to drop off my plates and the manager informed me my car was just unloaded off the truck. Because of their passenger car dealership location it does not allow for trucks to drop off cars directly. So off around the corner to their commercial dealership we went (in a new passat, not a bad car at all) to have a look see. Well there she was still wrapped up looking obviously a little ugly but when she gets spruced up she'll be all mine early next week. Forgot how poxy those little black extensions on the wheel arches look when you option the 19's. Two cars up and there was another RB R sitting there.

There is also a Rising Blue R in there showroom. It has leather and is on 18's. It has been there for about 1 week.

which dealer? And i have a quick question regarding your "plates". I assume you are referring to personalised plates? Are you still going to have to pay the dealer a "registration/plate" fee? (the fee that they have to pay to vic roads, i forgot just what this fee is losted as.

Got the call from the dealership, I can pick up the car any day after Tuesday. Would love to pick it up on wednesday but dont have space for 3 cars, I am hoping to arrange to return the BMW on Friday and pick up Golf Friday evening.

LS, how good is that!! For me it took 11 days from ship to pre delivery at the dealership. Funny, you wait all these months and they fly by but the closer it gets the damn longer it seems to become.

JSKAR, yeh I was referring personalised plates and from memory it is the cost component of the standard plates that I don't have to pay for. Bought mine at Burwin FTG.

Hey there, yes getting close now. You must be getting excited now. Most likely I'll pick it up next Tue or Wed. I think next week we are going to flood the roads with R's. lol
