Well I found out from my car dealer that once it arrives it will take another 3 weeks! arrghh, if I can wait 6 months then somehow I'll survive another 3 weeks!

For those who have ordered the Golf R and picked them up or have their VIN no provided by the dealer, how long did this take. I ordered mine from Barlow world Glen Waverly over 6 weeks ago and was told my car would arrive in early August, i haven't been provided a VIN yet. How long does it normally take to get a VIN from the date of order from everyone's experience on a Golf R.

I ordered mine from Barlow world Glen Waverly over 6 weeks ago and was told my car would arrive in early August, i haven't been provided a VIN yet. How long does it normally take to get a VIN from the date of order from everyone's experience on a Golf R.

Probably one of the most asked questions, could take up to 3 months and this is if it is not delayed ( which it will be) you have been provided with the standard 5 month wait period. To date this has climbed to 9 months so crossed fingers you get it in 5 it won't be for at least another 6 weeks before you get anything.

thanks silvrfoxx, after reading few of the posts, i checked with the dealership. They said they are still on track after checking. Well if i dont get the car in the promised time frame, i ensured i put in the contract they give me a loan car from mid august, as i have to return my current car as it is out of lease mid August. i also had in my contract that i could cancel the order if it exceeded second week of August, so if it does look like it will be there by September, i will cancel it and pick one up from another dealership which has one in stock, might have to take on more options but who cares, its only money, you only live once.

Hi all. I hope this is the right thread for my question.. I ordered a GTI and have been given a VIN number. I tracked my car to be on the way to Australia at the moment. I also used erwin (the online VW service) to check if my car is the correct one I ordered. I went through the list of installed parts and all is there except the Bluetooth telephone prep. Now I am aware of the complexity of the erwin program, so maybe the bluetooth components arent listed on it. Did anybody have the same problem, and does anybody know if their bluetooth parts were listed on erwin? Or could it be that the car was ordered without it.

Can anybody who has a factory installed bluetooth kit, please send me their car's VIN so I can check if it shows up on erwin.. I would really appreciate it.

The MY11 Bluetooth (9ZB) appeared on my "Vehicle Specific Information" report from erWin as:
No. - Origin - Family - Description
9ZB - E - VTV - UHV High

By now you can probably ask for a screenshot of the order details from the NADCON to confirm you are getting the correct car with all the options you requested.
