I ordered mine August 13, was advised a production date on the 2nd of Dec - 3.5 months (I was advised a production date of Week 5 in 2010). I am guessing that VWA only have so many productions slots for R's available to them and it is not until the factory confirms the production slots to VWA that VWA can then allocate pending orders to them...............this is just my guess.

Just tracked my car via the VIN using the link posted https:/att.2wglobal.com/gstattweb/ and found that my car arrived at Fremantle port on the 19th Dec... very excited, thanks for posting the link guys.
Anyone have any idea on how long it takes for a car to get from delivery port to the dealership?

Not sure how long to dealership but for you to get the call to pick it up is usually 2-3 weeks in most cases.

My dealer was fantastic and it only took 9 days from port to delivery..

From info I recieved when i was chasing mine up I think you'll struggle to get it before mid-Jan.

Being WA it more than likely would be held over as WA uses compliance date to value the cars....
