How to track the car you have ordered?

Anyway the clocks ticking now to see when the dealers will handover.

My dealer rang me today. I'm going to buy them a t-shirt that says "it will be 2-3 weeks"! Promise long, deliver short that's what I'm hoping for...

Woohoo! My R is through production and I have just been given the VIN number by my dealer. Tried the VIN number but it hasn't popped up on the ship tracking website yet so hopefully it will soon and then the beast is the way over here! As Big Kev used to say, IM EXCITED!

+1 I'm hoping for the same, I've hired a car as I sold mine the other day and have to say that after 3 weeks in a Camry the R is going to be heaven!

The Torrens is now on the website. Currently 295.5NM west of Freo....running the high seas at 17.9knots. 14hrs until docked (she's running ahead of time)

What I said was: " So does the navy blue GTI's & GTD's." So they must have been GTD's then....

The GTD is offered in the same colours as the GTI, and blue is not available.

Must've been TSIs, TDIs or Rs, but my money's on the latter - Rising Blue is the only darker blue currently available on any Golf in Australia. Unless VWA has another announcement to make soon.

I'd hardly call rising blue "dark" though....
I wouldn't even call the R32's blue a dark blue, and rising bue is even lighter than that!

But you're right. There are no navy blue Golf's in the MK6 lineup

I just got off the phone with the dealership, and they told me that the car will be ready december, possibly mid Jan! (they said that compliance company closes 20th dec)... They initially told me 30 Nov delivery... I ordered on the 9/07...

Is anyone else in the same boat as me?

I placed my Golf R order in late June and have been told the car won't arrive until late January - early February. I was initially told the car would be delivered in November 2010.

Ha - I didnt literary mean, same 'boat' but since you asked.. I am not sure yet. I have asked for the sales rep to email me the VIN so I will find out very soon...

Kiles - shame that you have been delayed so long.. did they mention why?
I find it so strange that some people are delayed and some arent.. i have read many 'theories' but am still not convinced..

Faust is gone according the Freo Port Authority site, Torrens is scheduled for 6AM on Tuesday 9th November. Other vehicle carrriers in Freo from Singapore and Yokohama! Anyone want to join me on Tuesday next week with a telephoto lens

Visited the Torrens this afternoon and took some happy snaps enjoy

Approx 8 R's were visible 2 x CW, 5 x RB and 1 CG I'm sure there were more! A few GTI's and an R36 too.
