Nice!
We want to see plenty of Pics Bob.
Just got a call from my rep, says it's with the compliance and transport company
it's quite possible that i can pickup on 24 or 25th October, and it's unlikely to be any later than the Friday of that week

After three days without tracking info, the Morning Camilla is back on the radar, just heading down past Morocco and the Western Sahara.
Lucky the ship info page doesn't list the Morning Camilla's Sat phone or mobile contact details, or I may have given them a call just to make sure they were OK!

I figured that if they were in the middle of tackling high seas or fending off pirates, they probably wouldn't appreciate a call saying: "Hello, I'm from the Internet. I haven't been able to track your ship for the past two days and i'm just ringing to check if my car is OK."
Maybe we should set up a group buy for "My Golf R was keyed by a Somalian Pirate" t-shirts.

Apparently the pirate situation is worst on the east coast of Africa. Also guys, they have shown a revised ETA on the Tracking page that sees it lobbing into East London South Africa on the 26th Oct, which is about 4 days early ! It looks like it is just about to leave that tracking zone and the next time we'll see it bob up is in the zone just above Dakar - probably a day or two.

Yeah - it's the east coast of Africa, particularly in the Red Sea where you find the majority of the pirates. There used to be a bunch off the south point of Africa though.... not sure if that's still the case.
Yeah, the ETA is now the 26th on the tracking page, but I'd take that with a grain of salt until the shipping company, W&W, update the actual voyage details to say that they've booked it into port early too...
I'm getting rather concerned and slightly peeved now, i've had my Vin# since 5th October and my car still doesn't show up in the tracking website.

Patience man
As I've said elsewhere, I got my VIN on 28/09. It was maybe available to the dealer a few days to a week before that, but my guy was on holidays. It then didn't appear on the tracking side until it was loaded onto the vessel on the 9/10 (although that is Europe time, so it was the morning of 10/10 for us).
There are so many variables though:
Checkpoint 8, when you receive your VIN, is BEFORE production is finished.
So there is the variable of how much longer production has to run
Then how long it needs to wait to be placed on a train and sent to the dock.
Then how long it sits at the dock before it gets loaded on the vessel.
It is only WHEN it is actually "scanned" when the warfie is driving your car onto the ramp of the vessel, that your car will appear on the W&W site.
So we're talking, a MINIMUM of 12 days, up to possibly 30 days... lets say with an "average" of around 17 days.
