I have a couple of cars coming for me that I'm tracking on the Torrens. Left Durban on the 12th so she's on her way accross the Indian Ocean now. Due to port in Melbourne on the 31st of July at the moment.Who has a car on the Torrens? Week 33 is August 16 to 22. You then allow say 5 weeks shipping and 3 weeks for customs/compliance/transport/dealer delivery....
So you could estimate that you can take delivery of the car in week 42 (October 18 to 24). It may be a touch quicker, it could also be much longer if there are weather or quarantine or many other numerous things which can delay shipments

- Volkswagen consider "Week 33" to be August 9 to 15
- If a car starts its build in that week, it can take 10 days to build car & 5 days for a checkover
- So a "Week 33" car may take up to August 30th to be finished.
- Boats usually leave Germany twice a month: 1. 7-9th. 2. 22-24th
- If you miss one boat, it can add 2 or 3 weeks to the delivery
So in this case, the car will likely arrive in Australia around October 18 to 24th, and then add 3 weeks until the customer can take delivery
