Just learnt that my CS GTI should lob in Melborne about the 28th of this month. Hopefully that means the forecast delivery date of mid-July could turn into mid-June instead.

Now I just hope that the "Asian Dynasty" doesn't sink!

My calculation is two weeks to clear customs, a week to transport to Adelaide and a week to do all the options that the local dealer installs. That puts it at the end of the first week in June - hopefully a bit sooner. That will mean a 5 month period between ordering and delivery - about the same as I had for the Mark 5, although it doesn't make it any easier.

No, this time bought locally - I bought my Mark 5 GTI in Victoria as Adelaide dealer could not get me one in a reasonable timeframe to match my company car change over. Local dealer has since providing my family with a Polo GTI and have looked after me with my Mk 6 GTI.

Could you please paint strips on your Carbon Steel GTI so that we can tell them apart.

I think I'm getting screwed by my dealer I ordered mine in January and was told in march it was going to be a week 9 build and a mid may delivery, on Friday I called in to my dealer to check up on my car as I hadn't heard from them and I was told that there had been a delay and that it would be another 6 weeks. I was a bit pissed but the salesman say he would look after me with a few free accessories when the car came, on my way out the delivery woman gave me a copy of the Nadcon order sheet I was looking through it today and saw that the build date is week 19 which as far as I can work out is this week. I can't see the car being delivered in 6 weeks if it hasn't even been built yet.

I'm almost ready to throw in my order and go elsewhere but the extra 6 months wait is a deterrent but at least I would end up with a MY11 car or maybe even change to a R if that is a shorter wait.
