Congrats mate :) I've been away the last couple of weeks so only read this today, given the ETA at Freo you should have your R by the 2nd week in Dec!
The Torrens is only hours away from Port Elizabeth! then Durban and Freo on the 8/11

Woohoo! Just contacted my dealer and my R is locked in for a build in week 44 Day 1 so just around the corner! He emailed me screenshots from NADCON. Looks like touch and go for Xmas or more likely January delivery. Even more excited now! :bannana_guitar::hyper:
Congrats on the build day... but realistically you have _no chance_ of getting it before Christmas. It's 5 to 6 weeks on the ship, depending on route. It's 2 to 3 weeks from the ship to being delivered to you. That's 7 to 8 weeks.
You also have to account for the actual time it days to build the car, and the time it could be sitting at the dock waiting to be placed onto a ship.
There are only 8 weeks left to Christmas as it is.
hey mate, thanks. yeah I was just going on what the dealer told me just the other day but was thinking it was pretty optomistic. They should know the normal timeframes for them (barring any problems) you would think considering they order all the time. The fastest ship of the next few looks like the AIDA at 40 days leaving 8th of Nov. But yeah realistically I'm not counting on Xmas delivery just happy to have a build date and know it will be on a ship very soon hopefully :)

Thar-she-blows!!! Anybody else on-board?
Morning Camilla is back on the radar, rounding Cape Horn.
Morning Camilla has FINALLY appeared again (after being off the tracking sites for 10 days) !
It's just rounded CAPE TOWN on the very bottom of South Africa and is about 1,000km from East London ! I think that puts it at about 25 - 30 hours away from arrival there !
(By the way, if anyone is wondering why ships stop at East London, it's the closest port to BMW and Nissan manufacturing plants at Rosslyn in Pretoria)
Yep - so it'll be there on the 30th, has been in the original voyage schedule from the start.
We'll probably be able to track her for the next 3 days, at which time she'll disappear for another 10 days on the trip across the Indian Ocean to Perth.
Hahah 'Thar she blows', wouldn't happen to be a Steel Panther fan would you? lol Thats a line from one of my favourite songs by them
