How to track the car you have ordered?

I've had my vin for about a week and the WW site is showing "no record found". how long or when do WW enter it into their systems? when it arrives in their yard or when it leaves wolfsburg.

The car (R) is supposed to arrive at the port of shipment today (30/8 )

my remaining schedule is this.

20/8 - arrival port of shipment
9/9 - depart port of shipment
blank - depart port of transit <--- is this is it makes stops ie in singapore etc...
15/10 - arrival at port of destination
15/10 - departure port of destination
17/10 - arrival at final destination <--- is this the dealer, customs or compliance yard (are they one and the same?)

I believe I will get about 2-3 weeks after the 17/10 so about 1st week nov.

so when generally when do you see your VIN on WW site?

It will appear when the car is driven up the ramp onto the boat that it will be transported to Australia on. So VW are "guestimating" that your car will leave on the 9th of September. If their guestimate is correct, you'd see your VIN appear on the 10th here (being that we're so far ahead of Europe in time zone). Just try each morning or night until it appears

It can take a few weeks from when you're given it though

You will be able to track it three or four days after the status of 'Depart port of shipment' So September 13th or 14th....(probably)

For me it was somewhat earlier than this date. As I said, this is a guestimation from VW. The actual time that you can track it, is from the time the car is driven onto the ship, as they're stopped and scanned in at the bottom of the ramp. This may or may not be on or around the date estimated by VW.....

Im waiting for a CW GTI DSG that was on the fidelio too...........ordered thru Paul wakeling Cambelltown, Im expecting a call any day.............. but nothing so far except a email from dealer saying about 2 weeks from time of docking !!
