MiiLos, did you buy through Nick? I also purchased through him. How was the service after the deal was done?

yeah through Nick mate. was a great sale experience at the time of order. i hadnt really had any contact after signing the papers though. made my first call a month in and the sales manager gave me the initial ETA sheets + confirmation of options ordered. called another month and a half later and got an updated ETA and VIN etc. didnt call them again till today.

hopefully it goes well once the car is ready for pickup. hows your experience been?

    FINGERS CROSSED @ Handover!!!

Yea, Nick A got the A$$. Which from my experience matches the service i have got so far.
Spoke to Cathy D'angelo. Very understanding, did Nick's bosses job for him!
FINALLY got a proper ETA. But i DID tell her, if handover is as crap as the service so far, i walk away with a cheque. They can ram the car. Not at ALL happy with their performance/attitude. Pi5s poor effort.

yeah it would have been nice to get a few calls at the main stages advising the car had been assigned to production, vin assigned, loaded onto ship etc. i did that all myself through a few calls at different stages.. i too have been in contact with only Cathy since the order. To be honest I'm a bit surprised as Nick seemed like quite a good bloke and made the sale effortless. in saying that, Cathy has been more than willing to answer any of my questions and provided me with all the information that I had asked for so cant complain really i guess.

ETA 9th, how long do you think we have to wait? 3 or 4 weeks? My BM is due back to BMW on 15 August.

    NickA

Totally agree on all fronts. Nick WAS great at the initial buy, but when you think about it, thats his bread and butter.
I never heard about the VIN, or ANY other details. Found out the car was built ages ago, and was sittin at the docks ready to board a ship. So basically he blew me for the buy in, but then he forgot/didnt care. As long as i getr a seamless changeover , ill get over it. But one whif of an issue, and i will be more than happy to walk away with a fat cheque. Its just not good enough. ANYone can be a "great guy" to get your signature. Its the follow through that makes the experience a good one. Also the simple basis for referrel and recommendation. Something sales guys have forgotten.

totally agree mate, thus why im so suprised.. i actually referred a couple of members from here to him. i know they got good deals so hopefully the rest of the process goes well. i too didnt know the car was built until i called up. was originally told a September delivery, so was quite shocked when i called up in May and was told the car was built and waiting for a ship at the docks. im not too fussed though as i never expected to get anything more post sale than what i did.. at least they were good when i called and queried the progress.

I actually had to go in and complain to the manager because I never got a response to my email for over a week and when I called he said he did not have it. I went in and complained to his manager and all of a sudden they looked in the system and had the VIN, they received it earlier that week. If VW are going to gain market share in Aust I think they need to either invest in having their own dealerships where they hire good sales staff and provide good ongoing customer service. If not they need to provide customer service training to their dealerships. The New Touareg looks great and possibly the next car for the Mrs, but all depends on my experience with this Sale and ongoing service by VW. BMW might have some boring cars currently in their entry level models but their customer service has been if I ever had an issue etc.

My Golf R is expected to Dock on the 9th of July which is on the weekend, so 11th is the next working day. Hoping to have the car by first week of august.

hmm i see, i had a response to my initial email request for Nadcon printout from Nick, but that was the last bit of contact I had with him. it looks like he really didnt care what happend after the sale which is very unfortunate. lets hope it was just him and there is no problem with remainder of the process.

oh and i thought your R had already docked. ill keep you posted on when i get a hold of mine!
