Im looking at getting my MY12 118TSi in early August. I have the VIN# but it doesnt show up on the tracker. Maybe its still being built???
Hey langers, bummer Glorious Leader did go to Durban. Port looks fairly busy too. That puts your ship about 6 days behind Aida now. Durban to Fremantle appears to be a 12 day trip. Main thing is that they are both heading our way.
Golf R, Rising Blue, 5 Door, DSG and some extra fruit.

I have my build date, June 20 2011 and I have my VIN, complete with the 'C' for a MY 12. In the risk of being VERY impatient, how long should it take before it becomes active in the tracker?
going by my experience - it took 2 weeks from checkpoint 8 (handover to sales / VIN available) till departure from port, which is generally when you can start tracking.

Thanks for the update mate. You are clearly destined for a career in Ship Movements, I had no idea you could be that detailed, do they go into ship holding patterns then like planes over Heathrow?
Look, just as long as the R isn't discharged accidentally somewhere other than Kembla I'm happy, gives me a few more weeks to save up to knock more off the deposit.....
Agreed though, I'll probably be looking mid August now...Ce'st La Vie...
In Carport. R
Lets face it, if we didn't have cars on these ships it would be like watching paint dry. lol
Some ships moor offshore and wait while sometimes they do donuts at sea until directed to come in. Aida did a couple of donuts before she entered the port in Le Havre, France.
Durban has alot of ships in the port at the moment. About three times more than when Aida docked.
Fingers crossed our cars are disembarked in the right ports.
