How to track the car you have ordered?

It is still due to dock at Durban on the 8th See this POst in the Polo forums:

Also, I made another post about when the ship will probably turn up again approaching Durban. Essentially you won't see it until it is about 6 hours from Durban.

At the time of this post it is 4 PM - 8th May in Durban so you still have a few hours left till it docks....

Obviously feel for those poor NSW members... longest I've waited for a VAG from port arrival is 14 days, that's three in as many years.

It all depends on Patrick's workload at the time as they do the majority of pre-delivery, compliance plates, data dot etc.. Last year I had a car land in Port Kembla off the Topeka and was ready for pickup from the dealers within 10 days!
The various dealers I've dealt with over the years seem to be consistent @ 14 days from Port to dealer. Again it varies from Port to Port dealer to dealer, but 3 to 4 weeks seems a long time, no doubt the majority of that time the car would be just sitting in some yard collecting dust.

The Morning Carol is docked in Durban, yippppeeeeeeeeeee !!!

Fremantle next, then Melbourne, then road to Adelaide. I'm still not expecting it in my driveway until mid June. :facepalm:

my car was on board the toreador which docked in melbourne on the 6th

I received a call from my dealer on that day saying that the car would be delivered in 3-4 weeks

Yep Morning Carol on its way to Fremantle, then Melbourne, then Port Kembla.... Yay ... I am seriously thinking about heading down to the Port Kembla Harbour (10 minutes away) to watch it come in on the day/night, maybe take a few snap shots, a bit of video....

Man - this is more like waiting for a baby no a car!

Haha did the same a couple weeks back. There is public access at the "cut" the vessel will sail meters from you down a narrow canal.

Dealer called me after the ship docked on the 6th. He's aiming to have the car ready by the 23rd! Fingers crossed!!!

I just checked the track and trace and there is an odd entry called "liner release" on the 14th, didn't pay that much attention to that, as I said it hadn't even docked in WA yet.
