My Porsche traveled on the TOPEKA same route. It will go via the Panama Canal, head to New Zealand, Brisbane then Sydney.

Hey all,

My GTi will be off the boat on 20th May in Melbourne to another dealership in the same group. My dealer is in Sydney therefore the car will need to be shipped up here.

I believe the car will be complied down in Melb correct?

After compliance, does the car get shipped directly to my dealer in Sydney or does it go to the Melb one and then shipped from there?

Has anyone else had experiences like this and if so, how long does it add to the pick up time once the car has landed?

Correct re the compliance. Not sure re the direct to your dealer or via the other dealer.

I've been told my Golf R is slated for production in week 19. Is week number the number of weeks from the beginning of the year?

How long does it take to build a Golf?

Yes, it's counted from the beginning of the year.

I've heard the longest it takes for them to build it is about a week? (Correct me if I'm wrong!) But it should be fairly quick! It's nothing like the waiting period!
