Went back to Appleton Dock this morn. 1,400 cars all lined up and Faust gone. Seems the Mercs already have the Aussie Fuel Consumption stickers on them (wern't there yesterday). Even so, there's no way they will ALL be compliant in the first 48hours like the POAGS lady suggested.
BTW it's a great place to choose your vehicle colour with '000's on the dock to see. Eventhough I've ordered my R in Rising Blue, the white and black cars look amazing. So does the navy blue GTI's & GTD's. I'm also surpised how many R's I saw didn't have the Talledega rim option! Makes me feel better, that I'd too didn't order them. Anyway the clocks ticking now to see when the dealers will handover.
Surprisingly not that many in Rising Blue, seemed to be loads of the Silver (sorry not sure of actual colour name).
How many R's in total do you reckon are there darren?
Yeah - this has me puzzled too. All Golf R's come standard with the Talladega's and there is no other option. The only way you can change your R wheel is via dealer accessories, which means they'd still have Talladega's on them at the shipping grounds.
This then makes me wonder whether all these "Silver" cars are actually R's or other verisons....
Are you able to clarify what you mean by that Darren?
