Sounds like an improved Mk4... What the Mk5 SHOULD have been..
So you're impressed huh??
We had the official launch of the Mk6 tonight at the local dealers in Hobart. Wow, neat looking golf in the flesh with a much nicer feel to the dash. Soft plastic as opposed to the hard dash of the Mk5. Come on the GTI, I might be interested in one of them. While I was at the night I checked out the Passat CC. A lot of car for the same money as the R36 Passat. Biggest boot I have ever seen as well!!

A great night - nice food & wine
I was super-impressed with the Mk6 - much better than I anticipated. The stance and shape is very subtle and classy. Interiors look a real step forward, despite being similar in design. The only point I didn't like were the headrests which force my head/neck forward into an awkward and uncomfortable position.
I was gobsmacked by the 118TSI's urban fuel consumption figure of 7-odd litres/100km! Stunning economy!
