    Yeah, I figure it hasn't blown up so that's a good sign : )

    Doesn't seem to be any problems with the car in any other way.

    I've changed the bulbs back and it's still there. Assuming it's been there for a while, if not always and I've only noticed it just now because I had the bonnet open with the keys in...

    Yes

    Nothing to do with your lights and it is perfectly normal.
    It is just the Supercharger regulating control flap doing its thing. Pause your youtube vid @ 4 seconds and it is the grey coloured device that is about 2 inches wide with a couple of red gasket indicators that is fitted into the intake tubing directly behind the TSI on the engine cover. If you want, you can remove the ENG cover, unplug the lead to to the regulating control flap and you will see the noise stops. This will also disable the supercharger so you can pretend you are driving a GTI for a bit

    So it is nothing to be concerned about.

    Awesome, thanks for the info Logger!! That's put my mind at ease.

    I think I will leave everything connected though, who would want to be without a supercharger?
