I'm getting this on my Polo. Only on corners. Like there is a serious delay. Not good when rolling around 20kmh to merge into high speed traffic. Dealer and I went out and of course it was fine. But it's a cause for concern...

    Hey guys,

Just thought I would update this thread, I disabled traction control and its all good. The DSG is actually going along quite nicely now.

    Hesitation when cornering

I would like to point out and get some clarification regarding this so called world wide issue relating to DSG systems. Are all the cars affected built in the same place? or is the gearbox built in the same factory? People are quick to judge DSG issues with what's happening in china. What about the North American market and European markets that must be very large in volumes why is there no recall there.
Not defending the DSG but some clarification should be made before arguments are brought up for the Aussie market.

When I was in for something or other at the dealership (not my usual one) and mentioned the 'replacements' that had been done, the service ppl asked "what" and when I said "water pump twice and clutch pack", their reply was "oh that's normal, do those every day" ..... Kinda says a lot I think.

Funny this is only mentioned with DSGs as I have a manual and I get this throttle hesitation when cornering hard. I assumed it was the traction control? I'll have to go hard with ESP off and see.

It happens with the manuals too. It sounds like the engine is misfiring (well it kind of is i guess as the computer cuts fuel/spark).

Turn ESP off and it goes away.
