I had just about the same items to consider.

Ended up with 5DR for practicality (and I actually think it looks better) and the CSG.

I tossed back and forth with Black but in the end I liked the fact that CSG is unique, and has an incredible look to it under light.

The pictures above of CSG are NOT accurate let me tell you. This below is accurate.

    One more for good measure.

    And without any flash.

Most pictures make the car look greenish.. but its not at all IRL.

Comes down to how much functionality you want. Both look good. As mentioned a lot of those photos are PS'd including the black one with VMR wheels.

Most of the cars look great but agree CW is amazing (I'm also bias). Out of the two colours though I'd probably get CS as everyone knows black is a PITA to look after and you may get disheartened when it's dirty one day after washing it, not to mention hot to sit in if it's been in the sun. CS would be a bit better i assume on both of those points, and is a fairly unique colour. Grey and carbon Steel can look quite average when dirty too though and the first pic of the CS above looks like it's been enhanced a bit..

Next I would tell you. White, Grey (CS) and Black are not colours, so get it in Red - the only colour available.
But then - what does it matter what I think when you are purchasing your car ?
Some people only need one door if they are the only one driving .

EDIT: recommend both of those colours, don't get CW .

Carbon Steel is crap and you should buy a White one , or Red one , or Black one . . . just NOT a CS one.

Yep, it pretty much comes down to what you need and what you prefer.

In some ways I think the 3dr look better, but I bought a 5 door for the practicality. I have a small child and my parents sometimes visit from interstate too and I didn't want them having to climb into the back past the front the seats with a 3 door.

So only you can choose, it doesn't matter what we think we all have different needs, wants and views.

Wouldn't pure GTI be 3dr? The original was a 3dr right?
