Headlight / Headlamp Upgrades (Bi-Xenon / HID / LED / Replicas)

I'd be contacting the seller requesting more info, and, failing that you could try the US forums (VWVortex etc) or Ross-Tech themselves (if you own VCDS). Beyond that, I'd say you're out of luck - coding the Central Electrics module for a replica set of lights possibly intended for foreign market cars and differing versions of the Central Electrics module sounds like a world of pain.

Well there are others on here that have got them and are working fine and figured it would be the best [lace to first. I mean isnt that what a forum is about? so I was hoping for a little info as I am no pro when it comes to the Central Electrics module at all.... no even newbie!!!

With issues surrounding the legal use of the hid's, I'm wondering whether these oem headlights would be legal if I were to install but just transfer my current halogens?

If you're going to spend that much on just the housings I'd recommend you also get new brighter halogen bulbs that complete the look.

Are you sure they're to be used with halogens since it mentions transferring ballasts, etc?

Yeah I think I'm getting my bits mixed up. New Halogens would be a great idea I agree

I think that particular one, not being OEM, is designed that the existing halogens will fit (to a certain extent.)

"The lights have a 10 pin harness and is designed to be used as an upgrade for halogen equipped cars. H7 bulbs fit in there with no problem. The rear cover is pre-drilled to run wiring for your HID kit. If you decide to use halogen bulbs, you can always put some duct tape or a grommet to cover up the hole."
