H22 Parking Sensor Buzzer Speaker

As in the title I need to replace the speaker for Parking assist

Too much conflicting advice on where it is located

So say remove glovebox to be located behind it

Others say remove the wipers and located under it drivers side

So say you need to partially remove the Dash

Im looking for the location to it in my MK6R 2011

And hopefully not too much moola to buy another on

I believe the electronic module for the parking sensors is located under the windscreen cowl.

But the little speaker itself will be inside the cabin. According to Google, for a Passat its in the drivers footwell or lower dash area. Not sure if the Golf is the same sport but might be worth checking.

This is confusing Passat same as Golf confusion over the Internet

I have done it on the Passat; I hope you have small hands

It will be under the dash somewhere; you would not be able to hear it if it were too far from the driver.

Do the Golfs have the little glovebox to the right of the steering wheel? It was behind and up from there, almost behind the cluster area.


Also on the part, you can get them super cheap online ~$10-20 or go to VW if you need it sooner was like $120+ ouch

It would be very similar, also wow that's also cool it is in the same general location as the Passat, but with an access hole from the outside.


Part numbers will be the same front and rear.

Also a question would the Front H22 and the rear H15 be the same same sensor ?
