    Fuel gushing out

    Hi.

Notices fuel gushing out of the back of the car when it started. After a quick investigation it is coming of a black fuel line cable that plugs into a metal cylinder.. Fuel pump? Anyways I tried to plug it back in but when you start the car it busts right back out. Any tips about trying to get this back in?

yes its the fuel filter and it should just clip back on when you push to onto the filter... to release it you push a tab down on the connection but to refit it you just push until it clicks in... when you push it back on try and pull it off again.. it should not move....VDUB...

if you look at the blue return pipe in the picture it has a black connector but a blue clip... the black pipe should be excactly the same (but not blue) see if you can see the clip on the black pipe.. can you press the clip ?? VDUB....

Yeah I checked it out. There's a slot there where I assume the black clip
Would be and I felt around and couldn't see or feel it.

Had the fuel filter replaced recently? It looks new.

Worst case, you can replace that whole section of fuel line, as it just runs from the top of the fuel pump, above the tank.

Use zip ties to hold it in . Ive seen the clips absolutely butchered and its a good short term fix . New fuel line looks like its the go though , those clips arent really repairable .
