    Simply, someone with different priorities.

QFT. An M3 sedan would have to be my #1 ideal daily. But even if I could afford one, I'd have to think pretty seriously about it before I could justify spending that coin on a small sedan... unless I had everything else I wanted already!

Someone who recognises what they need, and buys the car that meets their requirements best? AKA someone sensible?

I could go & pay cash for my dream car tomorrow (something like an AMG C63) but then I'd have no cash, nothing to dream about & I'd be kakking my pants everytime I parked the car at work.

The (relatively) cheap car that I have suits my needs & I get a great deal of enjoyment driving it every day.

Sticking with the Skoda for another 2 years then I'll see what suits my needs. daughter #1 gets her Ls in <1yr, so she can practice burning the clutch out on the Skoda until 2014 & get her manual licence. The car will be rooted after that, so she can have it & then pass it on to her sister (if she hasn't written it off by then).

I love driving that Skoda, so a replacement will have big shoes to fill. have been driving around unmapped for the last month. Reset the sensors back to "zero" 2 weeks ago. Re-installed the Bluefin last night & half a tank of 100RON this morning - happy days.

maybe I will get on the FT86 bandwagon but not with 147kw/7zillion RPM on board. More likely a Skoda Scout with a remap.

Sound plan.. my kid is still 4 years from driving an he is not getting near a turbo.. the missus is pressing all the EOS buttons but I am not playing at the moment. the economic landscape is one for save not spend. That said we will probably have to look at something a P plater can run with whilst he saves up for his own set of kicks.

I like the look of the F86 but after a fknwhoosh it is just too hard to go NA again.. would be more inclined to steer everyone down the path of the MX5.. would tick most of the boxes

Reload of the tune FTW, hard going back to stock I bet

Just to let you know you are not talking to your missus, you don't have to couch everything to get laid.

We established he was a tightarse

    That is all

Wouldn't waste my time comparing the BMW 1 series to the MK6 Golf but an M3 would be nice I'm sure. That said I've been hearing that the lower-tier 3 & 5 series (even diesel models) are good enough that you don't even need to spend extra on the M badge any more. If they cost the same over here as they do in USA I'd be tempted.

EOS is still 147kw & I doubt you'd get approval for him with P-Plate. OTOH, my car is listed on the front web-page of the RMA as being "low powered turbo family car public servant rubbish blah". And no, she won't be getting it with the remap installed.
