So if price isn't a factor why did you get a GTI ????

Screw the price brackets ... when it comes to WJ dollars $$$ ... both are very real competitors.
The MK7 Golf GTI should have a lot more kit as std (i.e. Dynamic Cruise, 18" wheels std, lane keeper, LSD, etc) making it better value. Add in a strong AUS dollar and cheaper built cost by virute of MQB platform ... it may well be the case that price rises over Mark 6 Golf are minimal, if any price rise at all.
Cheers.

The 86 looks better (a lot better)
The 86 is RWD, a lot more fun
The 86 is cheaper (a lot cheaper)
Still, different vehicle class so silly comparison
Just shows what a great little car this is from Toyota.
We may trade the Fiesta in.

Because it excels in every Endeavour. Because the Golf R is not sufficiently better than the GTI to warrant spending any more. This may be the case with the twins. Oh yeah ... Don't forget the EA888 motor in the GTI.
Cheers.

we back to this again.. though we covered this off a year ago..

See, if I had WJs unlimited wealth I wouldn't compromise on the all rounder GTI
I'd have at least a 1M in the garage, maybe a Lotus. Maybe an Ariel Atom III
The GTI excels at nothing but does well in all. The R, for those who have the cash, steps it up a notch and outclasses cars costing $15k more
