    Agreed man

lol... that's clutching at straws. Whatever the case, the Renault that triode12 mentioned was a Renault Sport.

Problem (for me!) with the Mini and, no offence, the Golf, is that you see too many wannabes and cougars driving them. Way too many. Not saying that's a wrong ting, well done VW for making them get one, is just that's something to make me stay away from those two brands...

Oh, is it now? The stories on this forum about brand new engines that leak or chew oil, are they made by VW? Are we to conclude that all VW engines are bad, based on those threads? If I'm to chose between engine/DSG gearbox problems and anything else, well I'd chose bullet proof drivetrain over a leaky roof any day. I had my car for over 14 months and had no issues, none. Even tracked the bugger a few times

Cougars are awesome man. And what better way to strike up a convo with them than pulling up next to them in the same car

Oh, here's something we agree on 150% However, I wouldn't say they're just awesome. They're the best!. Not much chance starting something pulling in my Clio next to one though... hard to start a discussion from "what the hell is that?"

Better chances in a GTI I would say...I've seen more cougars in GTIs than Rs.

you're right, and the ones driving Rs might not be real cougars but R owners spouses
