Hi Dave,
Steering on 19's in comfort mode is lighter, but not too much, than a non ACC 18" Golf R, not heavy at all. I find myself putting the R in Comfort over speed humps etc and then forgetting to change it back. Makes for a good daily driver, throw it it to a corner hard and then this will remind you you have left it in comfort. The suspension is not too soft in the hard corner its more you notice the light power steering. In regards to sport mode some did say this is only good above 80km and I would agree with that. I just had to go 19's for the look, cant believe how 18s on an R look so much smaller than the 18's on a GTI.
I saw a white 3dr with black 19's when i picked up my car, its not my sort of look but it does look mean. My Rising blue came with black by mistake (long story) and I considered this for days before insisting they give me silver. Black on rising blue can / does work just not for me.
One Colour really took me by surprise is the STD VW grey (steel i think) this with ANY of the three wheel combo's looks great, i almost prepared to wait 5 months to go from rising blue for the grey. Again whilst not normally a fan of black wheels, its an age thing, Black 19's on the Grey looks great. Good luck with the toy.
