That was my main reason for choosing the 5 door. And if i decide to start a family in a few years then the car will still be practical - whereas a 3 door wouldn't be.
Furthermore, my house has a relatively skinny driveway and garage so the smaller doors are much easier to live with on a daily basis - getting in and out etc.
Lucas, the 3 v 5 door hatch debate has been done and all your points covered. My view is that demand for the 3 door configuration is limited and I suspect not a value proposition to the company.
Now Corey's point about choice is valid but not always viable in the larger scheme of things, I mean all we have to do is look at the MKV golf for testament to that.
Anyway Corey I know you like both the last word and to be right regardless but the point is still moot
