These cars are all great, suit different buyers' needs and preferences; why does anyone need to undermine another person's choice? "The R's better than the GTI", "the RS250's better than the R"... it's the same futile argument over and over again. Let's all agree we have our own legitimate views, and move on.

B) The same applies to the R. It could be the best out there but are you ever going to utilise it's abilities to the fullest? Would you ever make use of a 1 sec improvement in performance in everyday life? It's all numbers otherwise - to stoke one's ego. Like playing trump cards.

B) now your making the argument about numbers. I never said numbers. I said it's a better car. Like for instance advantages in the wet weather, build quality, etc. This isn't ego stoking. This is using the five senses mate!

A) I haven't critised the R at all. I don't know where you are getting that from. I think you are confusing someone else's comments as mine.

I am saying it isn't mature to get so upset with others pointing out faults about the car that you own. They are not doing it to hurt you personally, they are just pointing out the faults of the car (all cars have them) . Don't take it personally.

B) The comment was a general one - not a personal attack on you. I am saying that it doesn't matter if one's car can do 0-100 1 sec faster than someone else's - it's all numbers which don't mean anything in the whole scheme of things other than to stroke one's ego.
