Good point. I just called another VW dealership... the guy was like "Huh? yeah the corp discount still applies."
He said next year they're revamping the corp program, but any orders placed now, should still be entitled to the discount.
I gotta admit, that just knocked the wind of confidence I had out of the dealer I saw on Saturday.

Touareg V8 TDI R-Line, White .Arrived 11 July.
Wow - when it rains, it pours. I've just spent a marathon afternoon on the phone with 2 dealers and a car broker, and I've now proudly joined the 6 month+ waiting list of people waiting for their Golf R's.
Here's hoping, sometime in late June/July, I should have...
5 door Golf R (candy white)
DSG
Adaptive Chassis Control
19" Talladega wheels (black)
Sunroof
Leather seats
Electronic adjustable seat
MDI
Bluetooth
I feel I got this for a very good price. There was someone in the other "Specification and prices" thread that said a price they got theirs for, and everyone called BS. Well... I don't think it was. The price I got mine for is not a lot more than what he was claiming. (Im' new to these forums still, so I'm not too sure if we can discuss prices etc...seeing as the other thread got locked).
You can post prices if you feel the desire to. But others are not allowed to critise/insult/antagonise people if they don't believe the prices etc.
The one that most people were calling BS on was for a fully optioned R, including Recaros ($1,400 more than leather + elec seat), plus sat nav and dynaudio ($3,500), so almost $5,000 more than your spec, and then add stamp duty and LCT - if you paid only a bit more than what they were claiming, you can see that their claims were a little unrealistic.
MY11 Rising Blue 5dr DSG Golf R
Interesting thread.
Just cheacked my lease contract and I got $2,386 off the dealer list price(excl GST) of $47,718.18. That was from Highway autos in Springwood, QLD. With my options of ACC, Dynaudio, Recaros, MDI, DSG, and then onroad costs, the drive away price was $57,536.59
These are factual number to hopefully assist others in their spending, but I'm not particularly bothered if its to low or to high, just can't wait till 20th January 2011when its delivered.
I still haven't seen any R's in Brisbane yet, so I imagine, many will arrive at the same time in Jan.
MY10 R, DSG, Recaros, ACC, Dynaudio, MDI, Stage 2 APR, CAI, APR HPFP
I've seen one - Blue with silver 19's. I followed it along the M1 one day into work. And I saw a Black on Black Golf R parked at the top of Kangaroo Point last week. But they are the only 2 I have seen in 6 months.
Well - the RRP of my car was $70k, and I got it down to $63100 drive away. Anything below $65k I was happy with (seeing as these cars are pretty much selling themselves) - so at this price, I'm stoaked!
Well yes, that's believable. I've personally seen better quotes (many months ago whilst compiling info for my price calculator). It's good to see that even with the HUGE waits, you can still negotiate a deal such as that. But yeah, nothing like the discount that was previously being claimed by another member.
