Can someone point me to a site where I can see the Golf R standard wheels against the 19" ones, I don't think I have seen one picture of what you get as standard as all you lot are upgrading.....Even the brochure has the upgrades!

the upgraded wheels are the same as the factory 18inch ones...

Any Golf R with Chrome headlight surrounds has the standard 18's, any Golf R with black headlight surrounds has the 19's (either silver or black). There are several cars there with the std 18s...

My car has 18's on it, if yo ulook through the thread that Corey linked to, they're in there.
Visually I don't think there's a big difference between 18's and 19's, except the headlights of course.
I got 18's as I intend to go aftermarket in the future anyway

I liked the silver headlights, they are on the GTI too. But the blackened light cluster looks heaps tougher. Depends on what you want. But you can't get the black on any other golfs.

G'day guys, haven't posted for a while.

Just in case there is someone out there keen on a well specced R and doesn't want a 6 month wait I thought it might be a good idea to let you know that I have just cancelled my order from Phil @ Slaven VW in Canberra.

Give Phil a call if you are interested, it arrives in Aus in the nextfew weeks and will be ready for delivery late Feb I believe.

Yeah - I was in talking to Mathew Gazzard at Chatswood Classic Cars in Sydney yesterday, and he was saying that they've also had a few cancelled orders. I didn't ask for details of them, but if you are looking at avoiding the wait, or even just placing a order with a great salesman, give him a call.

In talking to Mathew yesterday, he's had people call when the order has been less than a month past the ETA, which was initially 6 months. So the total wait would have been 7 months and they're canceling.. quite puzzling considering it was always going to be at least a 6 month wait...

Cause they keep moving the date, I was told March then May and yesterday June.. FFS there is no guarantee that the date they get told will eventuate..
