Wow - in my experience that sort of corporate/company discount on a VW such as a GTI or R is unheard of! I suggest you contact the same guy again.

I have seen the price book, corp discount on R is $1500, everything else is down to your negotiation ability. If you are leasing it then you can get GST removed and fleet discounting.. but Corporate alone on the R is bugger all ( hence lol)

Yeah, corporate discount was bugger all really for the new Tig, we were much better off with the discount VW are offering with their drive away specials at the moment. Would of been good though if they let us have both.

I think from memory, I got about 16% off the RRP.

I ordered a Golf R - 5 dr DSG, ACC, 19", Leather and bluetooth - all this for 57k with corporate discount.

And yes corporate discount would have been around 1-1.5k. But any discount is better than no discount!

Alot of haggling and its doable.

I currently have a 2009 MKV GTI and my change-over is now only a year away. I have been thinking about a few cars to get but now have the new Golf R at the top of my list.

Thinking about the following mods:

Golf R 5 Door - 6 speed Manual
Electric Glass Sunroof
Satelite Navigation with Dynaudio 300W Premium Audio
Media Device Interface
Rear View Camera
Vienna Leather Upholstery
VW Bluetooth
19" Wheels

Anyone have one in a similar package? If so what would I be looking at paying?

No haggling, but Corp Discount and good relationship with dealer, works out to about 14% discount according to spreadsheet.

well... that's way more than the Corp Discount obviously, so whether you "haggled" or not, there was some negotiating beyond the Corp Discount happening there
