It's the Auto Fan high or Low. Do you know the recirculate button has two modes as well. The right select 'A' will recirculate automatically if it detects poor air quality. The left selection is permanent recirculate.

I'll save you another 6 months by pointing out the two lights on the air recirculation button as well (first light is manual recirculation and the second puts it in auto mode (based on pollen sensor).

Low, only as it is default

Read it before deciding to purchase my car (like to know almost everything about something before buying). Of course how much I remember since then (2 years ago) is another thing.
