I was going to install a catch can as well, was advised by my mechanic that it was not required (read as not recommended). Went with his advice.

Seams to be a bit of different opinion about if you need/should put one on or not:/

If Greg (Carformance) rates them, I'd say they are useful (and he has said as much).
As for other "mechanics", opinions huh. Until they actually front up on here, that is all they are
Personally I won't be putting one on but I will only be keeping the car until warranty runs out and I don't care too much if performance drops a bit over 3-4 years.
Mine does long runs every day, mix of city and open road plus almost every weekend it gets 500 km on it from a hard drive.
If I was city commute only, I'd put one on.
