Could always sell you my SprintBooster if you want to kill lag
The RCD510 doesnt have the clock feature. However, the clock on the RNS is useless anyway (due to the way it is implemented)
What is wrong with the clock on the MFD ?
Re lag, it is unlikely to be turbo lag but more the fly by wire throttle, the DSG and the general hesitation of the R at low speeds.
It just isn't super responsive. As has been said, a tune helps tremendously.
If you want to experience turbo lag, try an EVO or a GTR

Has Fab ruined his yet?
You know what I mean
Need a clock so the passenger stops asking me what the time is

Feel like a noob asking this, but is the soundakator real?
I got confused when reading the thread in the other forum where there was some comments that it was a joke.

As much as my wife loves our car (GTI), the lack of a clock on the RCD510 pissed her off to no end. I informed her that the only remedy is to upgrade to an RNS/ANS 510.
Now to tackle the lack of the outside temperature display...
MY13 Golf GTI DSG (SOLD)| Candy White | 18" Detroits | Bi-Xenon Headlights | Street Guardian SG9665C
MY18 Golf R DSG | Indium Grey | 19" Spielbergs | DAP | Sunroof | Viofo A119v2 (front) | BlueSkySea B1W (rear)
Micro-CAN VCDS
Once you convince her you need the RNS510 install the latest firmware and turn on radio text - some stations tell you the weather on the screen. 1 or 2 degrees off the MDI reading sometimes but no big deal.
