True, but they're not great at containing soft drink when full and driving

Ok whats the story, washing the car for the first time and tried to lift the wipers but they hit the underside of the bonnet???? Is the solution too operate the wipers and stop them in the vertical position to be able to lift them out of the way?

Pull them up into service mode
The guy is a nerd but the process is the same
My MKV GTI wouldnt do it but a little pressure of the wiper arm would release the mechanism

need to be put into "service position" in order to do this. but, be careful. have a read of a thread recently posted by a skoda owner and his wipers elsewhere on this forum...
More opportunites have been lost from indecision, rather than wrong decision....
Mist the screen first (the process is in the owners manual)
Speaking of wiper arms, are they on a spline because I want to move the passengers side down an inch so it tucks under the bonnet more
I've looked at other Golfs and they are the same as mine but there is space for the arm to be moved down further and still provide sufficient wipe across the screen
Small thing I know
