Lol well it was either make the R the main family car or get a boring 4wd or sedan, so at least I get to drive it from time to time on my own too Anyway I'm planning to keep it when the lease runs out, mod it a bit and get the Mrs and kids a Tiguan or something like that hehe. Then again maybe they can have the 2010 R and i'll get the updated one for me LOL!

The R creaks like a banshee now

If this ever makes production, they better strengthen up the subframe !

Mine doesn't suffer that to any great extent, I have also heard that it is not such a big issue with 3 door versions.. I think I also the brake calipers look better in black than Blue

The Golf range is known for not being the strongest subframe.

The vert looks a bit pussay IMO but not a bad market for the car

Banshee? Mine creaks like a frog Totally expected it though... I think it's character building!

The BMW I had prior also rattled and creaked, as did the Honda. The only car I've had that hasn't rattled/creaked/squeaked at all was the Hyundai i30
