Yes, because everyone who doesn't leave their car stock standard is a hoon and is going to be an idiot.
Bit of news for you. Anyone in any car can drive like a ****. Having a sense of moral supremacy about leaving a car stock is, frankly, a bit pathetic.
My car is stock. I haven't decided if I will upgrade it a bit or a lot or not at all. One thing is for certain. It won't change how I drive. I have had stock cars, I have had modified cars. I have come across bad drivers in stock cars, in modified cars, in red cars, in silver cars.
To automatically assume that someone who remaps a car for maybe 15kwatw is suddenly going to become a menace on the roads is outstanding ignorance and arrogance.
It is the equivalent of saying someone who pays the extra for an R is automatically a hoon and treats the road as a racetrack because they could have just got a 77tsi.

It means the car is turned on
you will find a button underneath it, if you depress it will turn the autodimming off.. I dont use it in the city but for night country driving it is a must
My observation of the day is if you unlock the boot via the key fob when you close it again it autolocks.. very kewl

Yep, one of the first things they told me about when I picked my car up. They warned me not to put my keys down in the boot in case I forget to grab them before closing the hatch. Made a habit that if only unlocking hatch I put keys straight into my pocket before opening it up.

If you've got a DSG people will likely be offering you imodium even if you have the stock BOV/DV in there.
I actually think it's a shame that atmo-BOVs found favour with a crowd that most people would consider to be a bit lowbreed. On a previous car of mine it had a gearbox that sounded like it was straight-cut and a turbo that did nothing until 4500revs and then a big old atmo-BOV just to top it all off. The caucophony of noise made it impossible not the belt it at every opportunity! But I dare not put one on the R as it just wouldn't be right. Shame.
I know this has sort of been answered in a round-about way in other threads, but I am keen to get a turbo-back exhaust made up but understand that it's no good unless you get a tune. The issue is I enjoy the warranty too much to want to go getting an aggressive stage 2, yet the thing is just too quiet standard. Has anyone got themselves a TBE and then tuned it merely to do whatever is needed to tell the ECU that it has better flow/different cat etc without actually going for maximum power? Hopefully that makes some sense to someone.
