I've spoken to tuners from APR and Evolve and asked them which transmission they prefer,without flinching they all say the DSG

It's technically brilliant, but it lacks soul. as much as I like te DSG, I love the oldschool manual stick....however in saying that the manual on teh GOlf R was rather notchy....nothing like what I expected. DSG was seamless. But its getting a bit boring for me now...

I have a manual aswell... im loving the manual..being able to hold it in whatever gear i want it to be in! Would have maybe got DSG but thought it might get boring after 3-4 months..that being said..the gf is struggling to drive it as its very touchy..so she probably would have preferred DSG so that she could just put it in "D"she better start getting used to it though because I'm lovin the car that much I will keep it until the new shape comes out! my first VW..and I can say im converted! no more sti's or evos for me
