I don't recall ever having an issue with the hot days and find the seats are more than bolstered enough to stop you sliding around. Had no problems on the track or twisties.

Just observed the dimmer switch controls all the dash lighting including the door switches. This is a tad annoying as I like the switch back lighting to be brighter than the dash lighting..

So picked it up yesterday. Have already put 900km on it, the interstate pickup and drive home helped. All I can say is wow. Ive come from a Mr2 spyder and a Pulsar SSS prior, this is in a whole other category. Not regretting the opportunity cost of 2nd hand 135i at all...

I havn't had a car to date that inspires you to wake up early and find the best twisties and drive for the sheer delight of it. The Golf R begs you to take her out and push her to see what she can do. So a bit before 7 I headed out to Gaulston Gorge.

This run is hair pin tight and a good spot to test out both sport mode on the DSG and the ACC and it is well worth it. Got the engine light pinging a couple of times and that seemed to be only when I put the car on the apex of a hairpin going at a steep incline other than that she could not get enough of the tight bends, hairpins and limited short runs. Needless to say that was enough adrenalin for one morning.

The engine note must be something else form the outside , the cyclist bail over to the side 2 kays in advance as they hear the car coming or the throttle blips as it comes down the gears as I get closer.

A great bit of kit.. still concerned after a thrash that it needs some "cool down" time so when I get back into the built up areas dropped her back into D and putter home.. except for that pesky new 300C that thought he might have me for breakfast

Do you mean the traction control list? Cause the Engine light really shouldn't be coming on mid corner... if it was your engine light, have you checked oil and coolant levels? (I'd assume that you'd get actual oil and coolant level lights if they were the problems, but you SHOULDN'T be getting engine lights!).

That's probably not too much of an exaggeration. I was out to lunch with a guy from work. I was showing him the car and driving around the suburb that a friend of mine lives in. We didn't go down his street, but we were a few streets away. When I got back to work, I had some IM's from that friend saying "did you take your car out at lunch... I swear I heard it"..... lol

That build is huge! good find Dave... Big $$$ Hard to see the difference with the wider front guards, but will be interesting to see what power it makes.

He's replicated the thread on the MK6forums as well which is much easier to navigate. Lo and behold, Fab is all over it. I can see where this will end up....

Quick question regarding APR Stage 1. I've read up and I get the fact it is an ECU upgrade and I understand how its applied but I don't get one thing...

Do you have to activate it via the cruise control stalk every time you get into the car? Or does it default to "on' or am I missing something there? The video on the APR page is slightly confusing me....

The back to stock initiative sounds like just the thing for a nervous first chipper as well huh...MIght be worth the coin, just in case... http://www.goapr.com.au/products/bts.html
    Appreciate it.
