would that negatively affect the air quality sensor?
prise had that issue when he was using amonia. Over time it caused the air quality sensor to "reduce its sensitivity" so that eventually it stop switching to recirculation...

are the parking sensors in the R adjustable in any way,

I am finding the front ones are very sensitive , alarming with no object in close proximity
Can I 1) turn down the volume,
    2) adjust the sensitivity settings
    3) turn the damn things off completely if can't do 1 or 2

1 - No, but apparently an upcoming firmware version will allow you to turn off the sound all together.
2 - Not that I'm aware of, there may be some hidden setting in VCDS that allows you to though.
3 - You can press the button forward of the gear shifter with the big P on it and that should turn them off.

the sales guy said to just add water when needed and they would add when servicing, but wh are having a bit of wet weather and I dont want to have to wait till then.
Yes, I got mine for $15 from the dealer.

They warned about using other products as they might wear off the paintwork should they come into contact. Apparently this voids the warranty.

Bloody expensive windscreen washer if you ask me LoL.....Turtle Wax Bug Off can be bought for $4

    yeah, i know DDTW.
But , honestly it is the best additive I have used before.
have tried bug off, and products by mazda and Subaru, and this stuff is (or at least seems to be) much better at cleaning and no streaking.

Actually - that's something that I forgot to mention when DeanCorp mentioned the methanol.
The guys in the detailing forum warn against alcohols and other solvents due to the damage it causes to the paintwork, rubber and plastic parts of the car. So stick with the VW stuff.

Also, you can get the VW stuff from places like ECS tuning (if you're buying other stuff at the same time).

    also another "stupid" question.
the Climatronic air-con, I'm ok with the cool settings- lo 18,19,20,21-24.
then you seem to have the warmish settings-25,26.
then nothing till Hi, which feels like 30 on the same scale.
    why is that?
Havent had a real cold night yet, and in brissy we only get them for a couple of months, but it seems i have only one choice of heat and that is Hi. which is pretty hot.

Anyone found out a way to have it "toasty warm" without it being "uncomfortably Hot" ????
