As I have unfortunately said before, me too. If I get delayed anymore than the early DEC delivery i might very well be out. Its just been a wait since June (even earlier when it was for a GTI) and now the buzz has almost died and Im wondering If I have other things I could spend $60 hard ones on.. like a house!

But, If it comes in the newly stated time, im in!

But, anymore "just a couple of months more" and Im getting an old 350z/S2000, saving $30K and Im done with it!!
Word!

But yes I would love my R for sure.

trust me when i say, its very well worth the wait.

I waited from Jan-June and it was murder, but shyte its a damn good car!!!

you should all have got the GTI! At least then WJ's ongoing expert opinion won't tire you so much!

Spoke to my dealer yesterday and my car which was originally supposed to be build week 40 then changed to build week 37 is THROUGH PRODUCTION

He reckons I may even get it late November. I put my deposit down in Feb this year so its been a long wait. Finally some light at the end of the tunnel.

I waited over seven months for mine - two-and-a-half of which were without a car. That's pain!

All good except no 3 door DSG and equiv spec means options that I need to try and sell my arse to pay for. I've thought of every possible car upto 80k which would suit and there isn't one.

You are almost there - don't give up!
If you had taken the GTI, you've given up on the fun of driving and owning an R and that in itself is worth the difference in price between the two cars.

Actually the Polo GTI is very fun to drive. IMO more fun to drive than the R even if it can't match the R's performance.

LOL I got the house out of the way last year. But lately to fill the void of boredom I've gone on a spending spree. At least the lounge is now decked out with a new TV and HT system hehe.

Been there, I did Jul 5th to Sep 13th without a car. I've lost my licence and been without a car for less time! How do people survive without them lol?
