Golf R Observations and Questions

Spotted some Rs this week. Today, a blue one with 18s at the mosman fitness car park, NICE! And a U grey on military rd in front of the shell/maccas at cremorne on saturday!! Very lucky getting them this early. Man, I am pumped for my one!

LOL, i reckon you might have seen me then in the U Grey one.. I was driving around the cremorne, neutral bay area on saturday quite a bit. I've seen the blue one there quite often as well. I think we're both locals in the area

i ordered my Golf R back in July.....on the 25th i think or 26th....one of those......anyway its been just over a month now...

When i signed the dotted line the dealer gave me a guesstimate delivery of 15th December. He did say though before I signed that if I was to sign on that day (the day I actually did sign), then it would maybe JUST scrape through for the next batch of production for the Golf R's. And he gave me a delivery date of 15th December

Now, of course I dont believe him 100% because he is a dealer. In the end he got my cash and I dont mind the wait but just a few questions

1) is there any way of tracking the car from when its being made step by step? I read a thread here that gave me chills how some pple waited months for their car and missed out on some of the specs they ordered and some even got an entirely different car altogether!!! Any way of tracking it like a DHL parcel or something with a tracking number of some sort?

2) Any way of tracking what the dealer ACTUALLY put through the computer to Bavaria so I can see if he left out any of my specs that I ordered (Recaro, MDI, 5 door, DSG, RVC, RNS510, 19's Black talladegas)

3) How long will it REALLY be? As in whats a better guesstimate and what is a more realistic delivery date? 15th of december seems to good to be true as some have been waiting on a november delivery which has now been pushed back to late decemeber?

1) Your dealer will be able to print you out a copy of your 'Vehicle Tracking Report' which gives you all the approx dates of all the build and delivery stages that your car will go through, this will also give you an approx date of when your dealer will receive it.

2) You can also get from them a copy of your NADCON car configuration which will give you the specs of your specific car that the dealer has entered into the system.

3) Most of us who have had orders in since before early July have received all this info and our cars are scheduled to start being built in the next week or so and should receive them end of November early December.

what i meant by that was when they send the details to germany...to get the car manufactured. figure of speech

Do the black headlights come with the black 19"s only? Or the silver 19"s too? It's just that I saw some on carsales which are silver 19"s with black headlights, but some with silver headlights

The black headlight surrounds come with both Black and Silver 19's.

I received the NADCON data from the dealer but he told me this via email

I check the order with the stock controller and it is correct all of the items you have requested are there
Last time I checked the stock controller had told me that it was about to go on but I guess they may not have updated the system at that stage perhaps
Either way the car has been built
The vin and engine number showing on the NADCON sheet is the numbers for you car"

I can see the VIN and engine number and chassis number as well....

He told me my car was already built?

Its already built and he says it should be on the boat early november and I should receive it sometime in december.

Few questions arise :

1) Am I just lucky to get it this early or is there something amiss? Because i ordered the car on the 23rd July I think? its just been over a month and the car is already built?

2) Can I Track the car using the NADCON details? If so, how? Is there a website or something?

3) On the production ID/Planned productin week, it says WEEK 36....would anyone know what month that production week fell in?

4) What, on the NADCON sheet, is ENTRY DEALER SYSTEM, ENTRY NADIN and ENTRY FAVAS?

5) On one of the pages where it shows my options and specs, it shows the following:

I cant seem to find the Rear view camera anywhere? Don't they fit the camera at the factory where the car is being made or is it a dealer fitted option or something?

And what is the "lights and vision" package? is that talking about the bixenons?

And no, the "lights and vision" package is no Xenons. It's standard on R and much of the Golf line....
"Rear View Camera (RVC) WDD" should be pretty obvious in the list (it's written exactly that way). On my NADCON list is was below the first 'screenshot' and it needed a 2nd screenshot to be viewed....
