DS3s and Evoques are the only cars that regularly turn heads in Chatswood

When the DS3 came out, car reviewers said its design would age too quickly but that hasn't proven to be the case; it's still eye-catching and in a good way

Can probably thank other car makers for not daring to be adventurous (especially subaru, new wrx wtf, seriously)

Nice choice Andrew. I like the DS3. I was actually driving next to a red one in Sydney the other day (red with black roof i think - cant remember exactly) and it looked great. Someone at work has a white DS3, which is what first got my interest in them.

Funnily enough, ive actually been trying to convince my other half to get one. She is hell bent on a Mini Cooper S, but i much prefer the DS3. As you mentioned, its the same running gear, rarer, very funky looking etc. Definitely a head turner too. I would like to check it out when you get it.

When you say "6 months old, 20k" do you mean $20k or 20,000km? They are about $30k new aren't they?

20k as in $20,000, and yeah, a bit above 30k rrp. About 7000km on the clock.

I should pick it up this weekend. I'll drop you a text when I do.

I have a great mechanic who is French. Has Megane 265 cup, 3 225's, a 182 cup, a DS4 for his wife plus a Clio V6 back in France he is going to import. Not too worried about the servicing aspect. Shares mechanical parts with a Cooper S so engine parts are fine.

I wanted something non-German for a change, basically.

Assume you mean the frenchie (the porka is sub 5)

0-100 times largely irrelevant as the frenchie is more about fun, something the R misses on largely.

Meh, my driving is more open road and around town. Plant the accelerator and wait for the lag to go away and then trundle at 60, 80 or 100 isn't that interesting any more.
Fancied something different, more chuckable that is connected to the road, rather than pummeling it into submission.

Congrats! From everything I've seen so far they're going to be amazing cars and pretty much a grown-up version of the R both in terms of size, performance and refinement.

I'm not sure what dealer you're purchasing from but I know Parramatta have an allocation of just under 50 cars for 2014 delivery - I've got my name down for a Turbo if they don't go overboard on the options pricing.
