    Love the not so hidden sales pitch

    I was talking stock figures for all of those examples

    Now while you are floating about have you made any further progress on the stage 1 tune or have the Viezu boys caught up and I have to listen to Candyman tell me how an internet download can kick my custom tune to the kurb

    Well, I do have a VARDesign sticker on my stock R, definately adds 30kw
    8VSS2L/16 E9E9 XG MP SPP1 4ZD 6XK CSC5P with an extra free 10kW

    No unfortunately - just the graph printout above.

    I might try to figure out peak torque with the graph data once I translate road speed to RPM.

    I was referring to the handling, feedback and driver involvement.

    I love the car to bits. But I am not one eyed enough to think that it is the best car on the road. It was the best car for me, at the price I had to spend.

    The Megane is the better handling, better driving car on twisty roads. But it is not as good in day to day activities, and doesn't feel as durable. It wasn't right for me, the Golf R was. But it is a better car in some ways. Just as the R is a better car than it in some ways.

    Next car? Maybe a Mk VII Golf R. Maybe a boring second hand diesel Skoda VRS and a mid 80s Audi Quattro. Who knows. I have about a year left on my lease and I'll think about it then.

    I'm only a young guy who worked hard from when he was 18 - full time work, full time study. I'm co-owner of a business. Every cent I earn is as a result of what I do and working long hours to get ahead. Don't give me the bull**** about appreciating things.

    Let them dream, the next dyno day is in February isn't it ?. They aren't near ours yet as far as I'm concerned and from what's been posted anywhere....

    The thing to think about is this. Above the level your cars at it begins to run into some physical restrictions so the choice for tuner is to either ignore all the warning bells and just go for it or do you remove the restrictions and continue. ? I can use your car as an experiment if you wish

    It'd be DNA I'd be watching for

    I'd be keen to get mine on the same Dyno. I saw good gains with/without tune (158 vs 187) but this was a place in Newcastle that no one else really has used apart.

    True, mind you, haven't heard Viezu or DNA turn out any doughy tunes that belch smoke as yet unlike some. Must be the summer heat eh
