My observation of late is if I drop the hammer especially in S mode the amount of smokey exhaust is enough to blind the car behind me. WTF is with the amount of smoke that spews from the exhaust under heavy acceleration

The R only has one reversing light even though both light assemblies have reversing lenses, today I noticed a sirocco reversing and both lights lit up for reverse? why the difference

The second light is actually the rear fog-lamp isn't it?

Yep. Some have changed the light and wiring themselves.
