Stock, it isn't as quick as others in this segment though.
I took it that they were referring to the feel.
I see what you mean though.
But then the reverse statement would be the case, rawness refers to the feel, the reality it is quick, I have to conclude that as they only have manuals in the US that the driver was crap

ill just chime in now.
Agree with the comments about stock performance. Although it is uber smooth which is great. After a good tune you will finally realize that the car should have been like that from the factory. Then you get bored, bolt more stuff on. Tune it. Get bored, bolt bigger stuff on. Tune it... and so on.![]()
I see that happen a fair bit.. especially here, but I am comfortable with the config now that mine is tuned. there is a mixed fan base here, boy racers through to boy racers at heart. I am one of the latter that like the all round comprimise.
I reckon if you are the former then go get a WRX as it is cheaper and modding is even easier.. it is purpose built

My posts are fine thanks - unlike some, i dont post unless i know what im talking about. My comment regarding the extended warranty being rubbish, is true. This was the "extended warranty" i was offered on my car when i purchased it last year. The conditions of the warranty were ridiculous and i declined the offer.
I have a sibling who works for Skoda (and previously Audi) for a total of about 8-9 years, and he also says that the extended warranty purchased through the dealership is worthless in the majority of cases.
Now if you are talking about some "other" kind of aftermarket warranty, then that could be a different story.
I'm with you SF
Done my time with Subaru. I miss some of the rawness but only for a brief moment.

In the same issue, you see them comparing the WRX STI and the Evo X. I think when they said "raw", they meant those cars.
FWIW, even the Evo X which they complained was too "raw" was a pale shadow to my old Evo VIII MR. The last with the original 4G63 block that graced the original Evo
But do you really need to hear the turbo whine and induction roar and loud exhaust to enjoy the R?
I love these kind of car parks
Has taken me a while to get used to the overhang of the front bar versus our GTI
Doesn't help having the seat down low
